Board Mountable Accelerometer Output Integral Temperature Compensated Cost
Frontal Impact Systems Side Impact Systems Vibration/Shock Monitoring Crash Recorder Aerospace
Model 3255 two-chip accelerometer designed cost surface mount applications. package mounted orientations, allowing measurement axis either parallel perpendicular mounting surface without costly brackets. This accelerometer consists micro machined silicon mass suspended multiple beams from silicon frame. Piezoresistors located beams change their resistance motion suspended mass changes strain beams. Silicon caps bottom device added provide over-range stops. This design provides very profile, high shock resistance, durability built-in damping over wide usable bandwidth. Each sensor individually serialized.

NOTES
Notes output voltage increases from Zero Acceleration Output positive acceleration decreases negative acceleration. Best Straight Line. Output ratio metric with supply voltage range (5.0 0.5) Includes effects over operating temperature range. kHz. Applying self-test input voltage simulates acceleration. sensor output proportional square voltage difference between self-test input positive supply. When using self-test function, self-test input should connected positive supply voltage. detailed description refer Technical Note TN010.
Self-test input voltage with respect supply voltage. example, supply voltage then equivalent ground. useful frequency range defined range frequencies over which device sensitivity within value. alarm output digital output which during normal operation when output voltage accelerometer outside normal range. This case there malfunction accelerometer broken wire bond sensor.
