Power Management Switching
(with flash memory power switching function)
MB3807A
DESCRIPTION
When data written read from flash memory, requires that voltage power supply (VPP) switched writing reading). MB3807A power management switching designed compatible with PCMCIA digital controller, switch voltage flash memory. When switch turned optimum voltage applied gate internal charge pump N-ch switch, providing constant amount resistance. resistance also kept reduce voltage drop that caused large current flowing when data written. addition, time much shorter than time prevent short-circuiting between reading writing power supplies when device switches voltage reading writing data (break-before-make operation).
FEATURES
Switching resistance writing data: SWIN1 reading data: SWIN2 SWIN2 Wide range supply voltages: Prevention reverse current from load switch-off time time controllable with external Break-before-make operation

These pins also serve power supply pins charge pump side. switching, pins require voltage higher than VCC. These pins connect 3.3/5.0-V power supply reading data from flash memory. When voltage SWIN2 output SWOUT pin. These pins also serve power supply pins charge pump side. switching, pins require voltage higher than VCC. These pins output pins switch. pair pins used commonly either SWOUTA SWOUTB pins. These pins connected flash memory. These pins control switch time. time controllable using external capacitor. Leave these pins open when use. Note that voltage about generated when pins open. Since high impedance required, careful when mounting device generate current leakage. Power supply Ground Function These pins turn corresponding switches depending PCMCIA compatible signals, shown "LOGICAL OPERATION TABLE."

BLOCK DESCRIPTION
SWIN1 SWIN2 pins connected 12-V 3.5/5.0-V power supplies, respectively. SWOUT connected power supply flash memory. When conditions, established attempt write data flash memory, switchon circuit (charge pump) side activated. charge pump applies optimum voltage gate turn switch causing SWOUT supply 12-V power from SWIN1 flash memory. side, switch-off circuit discharges gate voltage turn switch off. Reading data from flash memory assume conditions "H." When conditions established, switch-on circuit (charge pump) side switch-off circuit side activated cause SWOUT supply 3.3/5.0-V power from SWIN2 flash memory. Since switch-on circuits powered from SWIN1 SWIN2 pins, current flows from SWIN1 SWIN2 pins when switch turned back gate N-channel connected GND. This prevents reverse current from flowing switchoff time, regardless high potential SWIN1 SWIN2 SWOUT pin. external capacitance connector delay turning switch Controlling switch time minimizes surge current flowing capacitor connected load when switch turned
