Mounting Mount sensor mounting plate less thick, using enclosed toothed washer. When tightening nut, hold sensor with hand spanner make sure that tightening torque 0.6N [EX-32 (-PN): 1.0N less. tighten sensor itself with spanner,etc.

Description Turn sensitivity adjuster fully counterclockwise minimum sensitivity position. light received condition, turn sensitivity adjuster slowly clockwise confirm point where sensor enters `Light' state operation. dark condition, turn sensitivity adjuster further clockwise until sensor enters `Light' state operation then bring back confirm point where sensor just returns `Dark' state operation. sensor does enter `Light' state operation even when sensitivity adjuster turned fully clockwise, this extreme position point
Wiring Make sure carry wiring power supply condition. Verify that supply voltage variation within rating. power supplied from commercial switching regulator, ensure that frame ground (F.G.) terminal power supply connected actual ground. case noise generating equipment (switching regulator, inverter motor,etc.) used vicinity this product, connect frame ground (F.G.) terminal equipment actual ground. Extension total (thru-beam type: both emitter receiver) possible with 0.3mm2, more,cable. However, order reduce noise, make wiring short possible. wires together with high-voltage lines power lines them same raceway. This cause malfunction induction. Make sure isolation transformer power supply. auto-transformer (single winding transformer) used, this product power supply damaged. case surge generated used power supply, connect surge absorber supply absorb surge. Optional slit mask (Thru-beam type only) Apply optional slit mask (OS-EX30-1) when detecting small objects increasing accuracy sensing position. However, sensing range reduced when slit mask mounted.

1Insert sensor into mounting plate. 2Fit washer spacers enclosed with slit mask. Note that number spacers fitted differs with mounting plate thinckness, give table below. 3Mount slit mask. Make sure that tightening torque 0.6N less.

PRECAUTIONS PROPER
Others during initial transient time (50ms) after power supply switched Take care that sensor directiy exposed fluorescent light from rapid-starter lamp high frequency lighting device, affect sensing performance. Avoid dust, dirt, steam.
Take care that sensor does come direct contact with water, oil, grease, organic solvents, such thinner, etc. case using sensor place where static electricity generated, metal mounting plate. Also, ensure ground mounting plate.
