Installing EasyLogger Software
Before connecting instrument insert supplied installation disk into CD-ROM drive your following menu will appear after seconds. EasyLogger program installed with EasyScope program. Before connecting instrument insert supplied installation disk into CD-ROM drive your following menu will appear after seconds.
Click "Install EasyLogger Data Logger Application" button launch EasyLogger installation program. following screen will appear:

Click "Next" button bring License Agreement Screen.

Installing Drivers
Before using EasyLogger drivers need installed. Start Button
Clicking Start Data Logger button will commence data capture.
Please note that controls altering sampling rate vertical scales disabled while data logger running. When running, caption appears right data window which says "Running".

Sample Interval
Sample Interval control specify logging rate before starting data.
rate between 50ms 100s specified, invalid sampling rates will rounded nearest multiple 25ns when logging starts. Data points missed fast sampling rates slower systems. Missed data points indicated with cross.

Toolbar Buttons
Open Chart
Clicking Open Chart button will display open dialog box.
user then browse file type .dlog (data logger format) which then imported back into data logger viewing. Please note that files type .dlog cannot viewed text. export data text analysis party applications please export data text comma separated values (.csv).

Save Chart
Clicking Save Chart button produces save dialog that allows user save current data chart variety formats.
Either data chart load chart (selectable through Window menu) saved. Bitmap (*.bmp) Selecting bitmap option saves area data chart which currently visible bitmap picture file. This option will allow access actual data analysis data reloaded data logger display. Comma Separated Values (*.csv) Selecting export .csv exports chart data .csv file complete with start stop markers which then analysed party packages. Information missed clipped points also included. .csv files automatically associated with Microsoft Excel installed. Please note that Excel only handle maximum 65536 lines data. This limits amount logged data that viewed from .csv file. there more than 65536 lines write .csv file, later lines available. possible around this editing .csv text editor (such notepad), re-saving then opening Excel. This file format cannot reloaded data logger display. Text (*.txt) Exporting text write data points headers text file. Unlike .csv files, text files limited 65536 data points. This will allow access logged data external analysis, cannot loaded into data logger display chart. Data Format (*.dlog) data format cannot used externally other programs. however used reload previously logged traces load chart window. When .dlog file loaded, reexported bitmap, .csv .txt file.

Print Chart
Clicking Print Chart button prints current chart area data logger.

Zoom In/Out button allows user enlarge areas chart.
zoom click button then click drag area chart. This will display selected area stretched fill full range chart screen. Alternatively, click Zoom In/Out button then simply left click chart area zoom minimum number samples that displayed zoom out, click Zoom In/Out button right click chart area.

Cursors
Three cursors available. These are: Data Cursor
Missed Sample Cursor
Marker Cursor
They have different colours names allow them distinguished easily.
Each cursors moved dragging name label horizontally. Vertical dragging will have effect cursors automatically track data line. coordinates each active cursor displayed Cursor Panel bottom left main window.

delta column made display differences between cursors. Right click word "Delta" following menu will appear:
Selecting "Data Missed", "Data Marker" "Missed Marker" will display differences between those cursors. delta values turned selecting "Off". following example shows differences values between Data Missed cursors trace given above.

Clicking TestMode Waveform button activates EasyLogger test mode. This produces saw-tooth waveform without input device.

Y-Control Window
Y-Control window (shown below) allows chart Y-scale customised.
window divided into three sections. Each described below: Y-Scale This allows range scale manually adjusted. Simply enter desired maximum minimum values text boxes click "Apply" change scale. Y-Scale Parameter This allows units Y-axis changed. Volts milli-Volts (mV) provided default, custom units created clicking "New" button filling form below. Click "OK" units list available units.
Custom units removed from list selecting them from combo then clicking "Remove". Saturation Voltage This panel provides control over saturation Voltage limit coupling. addition, activating "x10" button this will re-scale probe indicated below.

Load This provides same functionality Open Chart button from toolbar. open dialog shown user select .dlog file load load chart. Save This provides same functionality Save Chart button from main toolbar. save dialog shown that allows user save current data bitmap file (*.bmp), comma separated values file (*.csv), text file (*.txt) data logger format file (*.dlog). Start This provides same function clicking Start Button. Selecting "Start" begins data logging with specified sample rate Voltage saturation limit. Stop This option provides same functionality Stop Button. Selecting "Stop" will terminate data logging. TestMode Selecting TestMode activates EasyLogger test mode same TestMode Waveform button from main toolbar. This creates saw-tooth waveform with frequency 76.29Hz. Edit Menu
Edit menu (shown below) allows access following functions:
Copy Chart Clipboard This option provides same functionality Copy Chart Clipboard button main toolbar. This copies image chart area Windows clipboard pasting into documents spreadsheets.
Scale Selecting Scale displays following sub-menu.
This allows units X-axis changed between time sample number. units X-axis also changed through X-Control Window clicking axis label. Scale Selecting Scale displays following sub-menu.
This allows units Y-axis changed between default units (Volts) (milli-Volts). units Y-axis also changed through Y-Control Window. display custom units Y-axis, Y-Control Window. Settings Through settings option, window appears which allows access three tabs: Samples, Chart Labels Alerts. Samples samples shown below. This used customise many data points EasyLogger will hold memory before writing earlier data points backup file. default value 500000 samples, this need reduced systems with small amounts memory performance reduced. approximate memory usage displayed current maximum number samples. slide used scroll backward through buffer beyond data memory, data points required read back into memory.

Chart Labels chart labels shown below. This allows customisation which text labels visible chart start stop markers. Please note that regardless which options checked here, exported data files will contain this information.
Alerts alerts shown below. This used configure four alerts flag when logged data reaches critical value. Alert types pop-up windows, e-mails both. valid e-mail address network connection required e-mail alerts. Alerts configured when values greater than less than some value.

View menu (shown below) allows user change appearance EasyLogger.
Customise Screen Colours Selecting Customise Screen Colours shows following sub-menu:
Selecting options available this sub-menu allows user select colour selected item. Selecting "Restore Defaults" resets colour settings original colours. Text Labels Selecting Text Labels will check un-check text labels option. This will toggle whether start stop marker text labels shown chart not. Track Data Logger Selecting Track Data Logger will check un-check tracking option. This will toggle whether chart updates constantly show newly acquired data allow display remain static. slide disabled tracking enabled slide enabled tracking disabled. Grid Selecting Grid will check un-check grid option. This will toggle whether grid shown chart not. Zoom Selecting Zoom from menu displays Zoom sub-menu (shown below).

From Start Programs EasyLogger PS40M10 menu Windows Toolbar, select Uninstall EasyLogger PS40M10 Option click
This will start uninstaller program. following confirmation screen will appear.
sure want uninstall EasyLogger Program, click "Next". not, click "Cancel" abort Uninstall process. Clicking "Next" starts uninstall sequence. When EasyLogger Software first time, automatically creates file (PDL40M10.ini) store program settings. safe delete this asked uninstaller.
