Fully mated connector
When cable board plugs inserted into their respective housings, flexible molded-in latches ensure firm retention. fiber optic plugs with prepared ferrules spring loaded. Mating. Engagement free board connector with fixed board connector, opens alignment part which closes when fiber optic ferrule within alignment sleeve. Further forward movement brings mated ferrules under constant pressure from their respective springs. During engagement, sequence latches fixed board housing plug allows board plugs `float' within fully mated connector, removing contact force from backplane. Withdrawal individual boards causes latching sequence reverse. Plugs individually removed from mated housings.

Universal Power Module Vertical Receptacle
Tyco Electronics Universal Power Module three position, modular, Hard Metric board-to-board power connector designed compatible with Z-PACK Connectors. design "inverse-sex" orientation vertical receptacle module meets safety requirements finger probe protection. Both headers receptacle utilize ACTION press-fit leads ease assembly onto printed circuit boards. Additionally, vertical receptacle leads polarized allow only orientation onto printed circuit board, eliminating possibility reverse placement. Universal Power Module compatible with wide variety other Tyco Electronics board-toboard connectors including Z-PACK Stripline 100, AMP-HDI, TBC, Plus Eurocard connectors. housing high temperature thermoplastic, phosphor bronze contacts gold-over-nickel plated mating surfaces. modules rated carry maximum 23.5 amperes amperes contact, fully energized mating cycles. right angle header contacts available with sequenced lengths "make-first/break-last" applications. Generous alignment features designed into housings optional guide pins receptacles make Tyco Electronics Universal Power Module ideal "blind mating" applications.
