Description

Functional Description
Display Display Mode static display organized into bits stores data transmitted from external device HT16511 through serial interface. contents directly mapped contents driver. Data accessed through data setting, address setting display control commands. assigned addresses 8-bit unit follows:
Dimming Control HT16511 provides 8-step dimmer function display controlling 3-bit binary command code. full pulse width grid signal divides into uniform sections (pulse width modulation) technology. uniform sections available form steps dimmer 3-bit binary code. 8-step dimmer includes 1/16, 2/16, 4/16, 10/16, 11/16, 12/16, 13/16 14/16. 1/16 pulse width indicates minimum lightness. 14/16 pulse width represents maximum lightness (Refer display control command). Matrix Key-Input Data Storage matrix scans series states each level strobe signal (S1/K1~S12/K12) output HT16511. strobe signal outputs time-multiplexed signals from S1/K1~S12/K12. states inputs K0~K3 sampled strobe signal S1/K1~S12/K12 latched into register.
Note:
Only lower bits addresses assigned SEG17 through SEG20 valid, higher bits ignored.

Commands Port port belongs CMOS output configuration. Data written port with write command, starting from least least significant bit. application (see application circuits), user adopts internal NMOS device driver component connecting VDD. When this port corresponding lights; when turns off. data bits through ignored.
Commands display mode status driver. first byte input HT16511 through after fallen, regarded command. high while commands/data transmitted, serial communication initialized, commands/ data being transmitted valid (however, commands/data previously transmitted remains valid).
Display mode setting commands
These commands initialize HT16511 select number segments number grids (1/8~1/16 duty, segments segments). When these commands executed, display forcibly turned off, scanning also stopped. resume display, display command must executed. same mode selected, nothing happens.
