Design Features
Available on-delay, true off-delay, on/off-delay. Timing from seconds minutes, linear increments. Oversize time-calibrated adjustment knobs, serrated with high-resolution markings visible from angles makes timer easy timers. Inherent transient immunity. Standard voltages from 6-550VAC 12-550VDC (special voltages available.) Available 2-pole 4-pole models. Numerous enclosure options: explosion proof, dust tight, watertight, hermetically-sealed, NEMA Auxiliary timed instantaneous switches added greater switching flexibility. Many mounting options: Surface mount, Panel mount, Octal plug-in mounting. Options: quick-connect terminals, dial stops, transient protection module. Easy-to-reach screw terminals, face unit, clearly identified. Modular assembly timing head, coil assembly switchblock individual modules, with switches field-replaceable.
On-delay model 7012 (delay pickup)
Applying continuous voltage coil (L1-L2) starts time delay lasting preset time. During this period normally closed contacts (3-5 4-6) remain closed. delay period normally closed contacts break normally open contacts (1-5 2-6) make. contacts remain this transferred position until coil deenergized, which time switch instantaneously returns original position. De-energizing coil, either during after delay period, will recycle unit within msec. will then provide full delay period upon re-energization, regardless often coil voltage interrupted before unit been permitted "time-out" full delay setting.
Design Construction
There three main components Series 7000 Timing Relays: Calibrated Timing Head uses needle valve, recirculates under controlled pressure through variable orifice provide linearly adjustable timing. Patented design provides instant recycling, easy adjustment long service life under severe operating conditions. Precision-Wound Potted Coil module supplies initial motive force with minimum current drain. Total sealing without external leads eliminates moisture problems, gives maximum insulation value. Standard switches DPDT arrangement, with flexible beryllium copper blades silver-cadmium oxide contacts. Special "timing-duty" design assures positive wiping action, sustained contact pressure greater heat dissipation during long delay periods. Off-delay model 7022 (delay dropout)

Operation
basic operating types available. "On-Delay" models provide delay period energization, which switch transfers load from contacts another. Deenergizing unit during delay period immediately recycles unit, readying another full delay period re-energization. "Off-Delay" models switch transfers load immediately upon energization, delay period does begin until unit deenergized. delay period switch returns original position. Once adjusted factory, this ratio remains constant regardless changes dial settings. (Ex: upper switch transfer dial sec., minimum time lower switch should sec.) Four pole models approximately 1-1/4" maximum height basic model, approximately 1/8" depth. They designed vertical operation only.
