Supply Current: 500µA 0.2µA Supply Current SHUTDOWN 50µA Supply Current RECEIVER ALIVE Mode Protection Over ±10kV Operates from Single Supply Uses Small Capacitors: 0.1µF Operates 120k Baud Three-State Outputs High Impedance When Output Overvoltage Does Force Current Back into Supplies RS232 Lines Forced ±25V Without Damage Flowthrough Architecture
LTC1338 5-driver/ 3-receiver RS232 transceiver with very supply current. load condition, supply current only 500µA. charge pump only requires four 0.1µF capacitors. SHUTDOWN mode, supply current further reduced 0.2µA. RECEIVER ALIVE mode, three receivers kept alive supply current 50µA. RS232 outputs assume high impedance state SHUTDOWN with power off. LTC1338 fully compliant with data rate overvoltage RS232 specifications. transceiver operate 120k baud with 2500pF, load. Both driver outputs receiver inputs forced ±25V without damage, survive multiple ±10kV strikes.
