Functional Description
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION LMX2604 VCOs, which configured resonant oscillator. active components tank elements integrated oscillator core tank circuit designed immune external noise such supply load variation. easy-to-use occupies extremely small area board. output amplifiers also integrated deliver high output power GSM/DCS/PCS applications. amplifiers isolate oscillator cores from external load, drive external load. output driver designed have noise floor reduce pulling load variation. additional amplifier drive mixer transmit also provided. Only attenuator composed passive elements necessary meet power level mixer input transmit PLL. frequency oscillator controlled CPin pin, which internally connected varactor. This control connected loop filter modulation loop transmit path. additional noise this tuning input directly translated into noise, which degrade phase noise characteristics oscillator. Typically, loop filter provides appropriately impedance source output thus proper additional filtering stage often required reduce high frequency noise spurious signals.

frequency such that final tuning voltage CPin line approximately Vdd/2. Benefits this system maximum required charge pump voltage reduced large frequency ranges tuned with small tuning voltage. This makes digitally tuned different from conventional analog VCOs.
