INTRODUCTION
M1646 Trident's generation Northbridge chip supporting Slot-A/Socket Athlon Processors. M1646 single chip solution which interfaces 200/266MHz double data rate front side (FSB), provides high performance memory interface 66/100/133 133/200/266 memory devices. PC-266 memory enables GB/s peak bandwidth between system memory Northbridge boost system performance next higher level.
graphics side, M1646 integrates DirectX (DX7) ready graphic core (Cyberblade from Trident Microsystems. Cyberblade dual pixel pipes hardware transform lighting (T&L) unit which provide enough rendering power satisfy high graphics requirements. also manufactures series feature-rich, highly integrated Southbridge devices (M1535 M1535+) which seamlessly work with M1646 create complete, flexible cost-effective solution notebook designers. M1646 also incorporates ALi's proven power management support, which crucial mobile applications.
