LTC1346A single chip transceiver that provides differential clock data signals V.35 interface from supplies. Combined with external resistor termination network ®1134A RS232 transceiver control signals, LTC1346A forms complete power V.35 interface port. LTC1346A features three current output differential transmitters three differential receivers. transceiver configured operation shutdown using three Select pins. Shutdown mode, supply current reduced below 1µA. LTC1346A transceiver operates 10Mbaud. transmitters feature short-circuit protection. Both transmitter outputs receiver outputs forced into high impedance state. transmitter outputs receiver inputs feature ±10kV protection.

Review CCITT Recommendation V.35 Electrical Specifications V.35 CCITT recommendation synchronous data transmission modems. Appendix recommendation describes electrical specifications which summarized below: interface cable balanced twisted pair with impedance. transmitter's source impedance between 150. transmitter's resistance between shorted terminals ground ±15. When terminated resistive load, terminal-to-terminal voltage should 0.55V ±20%. transmitter's rise time should less than signal pulse 40ns, whichever greater. common mode voltage transmitter output should exceed 0.6V. receiver impedance ±10. receiver impedance ground ±15. transmitter receiver should damaged connection earth ground, short-circuiting cross connection other lines. data errors should occur with common mode change either transmitter/receiver ground potential difference between transmitter receiver. Multiprotocol Application LTC1346A used multiprotocol applications where V.35, RS232 RS422 (used RS530, RS449 among others) signals appear same port. LTC1346A switched current source driver compatible with RS232 RS422. However, outputs when disabled share lines with RS232 drivers with Shutdown feature such LT1030 RS422 drivers with disable feature such LTC486/LTC487 (Figure 12a).
