General Description
APX6219 designed drive both winding two-phase bipolar stepper motor bidirectionally control motors. APX6219 includes Hbridges capable continuous output current ±750 with peak start operating voltages 28V. Motor winding current controlled internal fixed-frequency, pulse-width modulated (PWM), current-control circuitry. Wide range current control controlled means logic inputs with external reference voltage each bridge. peak load current limit user's selection reference voltage current-sensing resistor. logic-level select output current limits 0%,33%, 67%, 100% maximum level. phase input each bridge determines load current direction. thermal shutdown protection circuit disables outputs chip temperature over safe operation limit. APX6219 come SOP-24 package.

Application Information
Current Control APX6219 dual bridge designed drive both windings bipolar stepper motor. Output current sensed controlled independently each bridge external sense resistor (RS), internal comparator, monostable multivibrator. When bridge turned current increases motor winding sensed external sense resistor until sense voltage (VCOMPIN) reaches level comparator's input: ITRIP VREF/10 comparator then triggers monostable which turns source driver bridge. actual load current peak will slightly higher than trip point (especially low-inductance loads) because internal logic switching delays. This delay (TD) typically 2µs. After turn-off, motor current decays, going through ground-clamp diode sink transistor (source off). source driver's time determined external timing components, where TOFF RTCT within range 100k 470pF 1000pF.When drop certain voltage, source driver will re-enabled automatically (bridge on), winding current again limited desired level. Loads with high VBB, high-frequency current will result high turn-on current peaks.
