WARNING CAUTION IMPORTANT
Example:
addition three above, following also used appropriate. means WARNING CAUTION. CAUTION AGAINST ELECTRIC SHOCK means PROHIBITION. Example: DISASSEMBLY PROHIBITED
means FORCIBLE ACTION. Example: UNPLUG POWER CABLE FROM RECEPTACLE.
following pages describe symbols "WARNING", "CAUTION", "IMPORTANT".
WARNING
Warning Installation:
this product water areas high humidity. Make sure that emulation main unit does wet. Spilling water other liquids into emulation main unit cause unrepairable damage.
Warning Environment:
emulation main unit air-cooled with ventilation slot. Therefore, block ventilation slot. When heated high temperatures, emulation main unit work properly. This equipment used environment with maximum ambient temperature 35°C. Care should taken that this temperature exceeded.
CAUTION
Caution Taken Modifying This Product:
disassemble modify this product. Disassembling modifying this product cause damage. Disassembling modifying product will void your warranty.
Cautions Taken This Product:
caution when handling emulation main unit. careful apply mechanical shock. touch directly connector pins emulator main unit target connector pins with your hand. pull emulation main unit FLX120-RPD flexible cable FLX64 flexible cable. flexible cables FLX120-RPD FLX64 different from earlier models. slits make them more flexible. However, excessive flexing force break conductors. inch-size screws this equipment. screws used this equipment (meter-size) type screws. When replacing screws, same type screws used equipment.
IMPORTANT
Notes PC4701 Emulator Main Units:
standards when this product used with PC4700H PC4700L emulator main unit. PC4700H emulator main units whose serial number ends with number cannot used with M30200T-RPD-E. only products whose serial number ends with letter alphabet. serial number bottom PC4700H. Example: 5KE100 used with M30200T-RPD-E. Requires upgrade. Example: 5LE123B used with M30200T-RPD-E. turn power when downloading firmware. emulator powered middle process, will become unable start normally. cases when power inadvertently shut off, re-execute downloading.
Note Abnormal Operation PC4701 System:
PC4701 system does pass self-checks (excluding when target system error occurs), there possibility trouble system. such case, contact place purchase. (Selfcheck should executed when target system connected.) emulator main unit malfunctions external interference some other causes, follow steps given below. Press system reset switch located front panel emulator main unit. emulator does return normal operation despite step above, turn power source emulator main unit, turn again.
Notes Target System:
Because emulation main unit does have capacity supply power other devices, design your system that emulator powered target system. Make sure that target's supply voltage Before turning power anything, check host machine, emulator main unit, emulation main unit, probe, converter board user's target system properly connected. explained here following, activate power units simultaneously possible. Reverse procedure turn them off. Turn target system. Turn emulator main unit.
IMPORTANT
Notes Connecting Probe Pitch Converter Board:
Prepare right probe your MCU. Without probe this product cannot used. When connecting probe pitch converter board, careful forcibly press connector converter board. (The flexible cable converter board guaranteed only insertion/removal iterations.) Especially careful insert converter board wrong direction.
Note Starting Emulator System:
Check emulator starts properly from target status LEDs front panel emulator main unit itself. When power received from target system: POWER target status When clock starts oscillating: CLOCK target status When reset released: RESET target status OFF. LEDs behave described above within approximately seconds turning power, emulator started properly.
Notes Reset Input from Target System:
reset input from target system accepted only during program execution (while signal PC4701 lit).
IMPORTANT
Note Address Access:
With M16C/20 series MCU, when maskable interrupt generated, interrupt data (interrupt interrupt request level) stored address read out. Also, interrupt request cleared when address read out. Consequently, when address read-out instruction executed when address read cause program runaway, malfunction occurs that interrupt executed despite interrupt request, because request highest priority interrupt factor enabled cleared.
Note Differences between Actual Emulator:
Emulator operation differs from mask operation, listed below: Initial values internal resource data power-on Internal capacities, etc. converter converter characteristics differ from actual characteristics because flexible cable other elements used between emulation target system.
Note Referencing Setting Work Area:
work area given below assigned initial setting time starting emulator debugger. 02C0016 02C0F16: Work area
Notes References Settings:
When starting M30200T-RPD-E, initial settings follows. 0000016 003FF16: 0040016 FFFFF16: Always area (external).
Note Changing Settings Memory Area:
debug different memory capacity, sure modify settings memory area before using MCU. memory maps respective MCUs, User's Manual.
IMPORTANT
Note Stack:
This product uses bytes stack.
Note Instruction:
instruction cannot used.
Note Software Break Hardware Break:
software break hardware break cannot used simultaneously. they used simultaneously, emulation main unit work properly.
Notes Using Address-match Interrupts:
software breaks same addresses address-match interrupts program control. hardware break within instructions before address which address-match interrupt occurs. hardware break this range, program will control. When address which address-match interrupt occurs executed one-step mode, program stops after executing first instruction after returning from address-match interrupt processing.
Note Software Reset:
software reset. work properly.
Note Stop Wait Modes:
perform step execution addresses stop wait mode. cause communication errors.
Note Watchdog Function:
Debug functions such single step cannot used while using watchdog function. Only command (program execution) possible. other debug functions, disable watchdog function.
