Section Introduction
This document describes board included AT89STK-06 Starter dedicated T89C51CC01/CC02 AT89C51CC03 microcontrollers (for T89C51CC02 optionnal adaptor required). This board designed allow easy evaluation product using demonstration software. complement evaluation enable additional development capability, AT89STK-06 board plugged into Atmel Generic Board, featuring LCD, graph, Flash memory, etc.

RESET
Although AT89C51CC03 microcontroller on-chip RESET circuitry (c.f. microcontroller datasheet), AT89STK-06 board provides microcontroller RESET signal witch come from different sources: on-board network acts power-on RESET. pressing RESET push button AT89STK-06 board, warm RESET microcontroller performed.

Serial Interfaces
RS-232C microcontrollers have on-chip UART peripheral. Only asynchronous mode supported AT89STK-06 board. AT89STK-06 board supplied with RS-232 driver/receiver. Only female connector assumes RS-232 connections. full range configuration with lines lines. Figure RS-232 Connections

Operating Mode
enter mode, press both RESET (SW5) (SW4) buttons simultaneously. First release RESET button then button. device enters mode.

Auto Mode
Auto available only parts with UART bootloader (-UA devices). allows host application (Atmel FLIP software example) control hardware conditions from serial lines DTR. Thus with Auto mode, user does need push RESET buttons.
