Turn power release protection. "E-02" code does disappear, contact your Kenwood dealer. When speaker cord shorted. When speaker output contact with vehicle ground. When voltage gets operation range.
Available Control Units:
KENWOOD's LX-Bus supporting Center Unit released 2004 later control this unit. operations (LX) Control explained Operation Manual Center Unit.
NOTE
Wiring
sensor unit cannot connected simultaneously. must connect them time.
NOTE
experience problems during installation, consult your Kenwood dealer. unit does seem working right, consult your Kenwood dealer.
Take battery wire this unit directly from battery. it's connected vehicle's wiring harness, cause blown fuses etc. buzzing noise heard from speakers when engine running, connect line noise filter (optional) each battery wire. allow wire directly contact edge iron plate using Grommets. Connect ground wire metal part chassis that acts electrical ground passing electricity battery`s negative terminal. turn power ground wire connected. sure install protective fuse power cord near battery. protective fuse should same capacity unit's fuse capacity somewhat larger. power cord ground, vehicle type (fireproof power wring cord with current capacity greater than unit's fuse capacity. (Use power wiring cord with diameter (AWG greater.) When more than power amplifier going used, power supply wiring wire protective fuse greater current-handling capacity than total maximum current drawn each amplifier.
Speaker Selection
rated input power speakers that going connected should greater than maximum output power Watts) amplifier. speakers having input power ratings that less than output power amplifier will cause smoke emitted well damage. speakers that have impedance greater. When more than speakers going used, calculate combined impedance speakers then connect suitable speakers amplifier.

PHASE switch
When this switch "180°" (Reverse) speaker output phase reversed. When this switch "-6dB"/"-12dB", frequencies band with "B.R.F. FREQUENCY" control rejected eliminated. band rejection allows reduce resonance inside vehicle compartment standing waves. (page When this switch "ON", inaudible, ultralow frequencies below frequency with "ISF FREQUENCY" switch off. This improves reproduction performance speakers eliminating unnecessary oscillations which will become sound. Switches cutoff frequency when "ISF" switch "ON". This control adjusts frequency band output from this unit.

Band Reject Filter
acoustic properties vehicle compartment tend cause oscillation resonance unclearness sound standing waves certain frequencies. band reject filter solve problems resonance unclear sound with minimum influence sound quality because eliminates only frequencies causing resonance standing waves.
Adjustment method:
band reject filter cuts only limited frequencies minimize influence sound quality. Therefore, effect cannot obtained unless cutoff frequencies accurately frequencies causing resonance standing waves. band reject filter adjusted according what feel through your ears, recommend signal generator spectrum analyzer with fine frequency measurement capability adjustment.
Adjustment using signal generator:
Frequency
Output sine wave, vary frequency find frequencies which vehicle compartment resonates volume increases (standing waves occur), B.R.F. FREQUENCY control position with which resonance standing waves disappear. Output white noise (sound which frequencies certain level), find peak frequency observed spectrum analyzer, B.R.F. FREQUENCY control position with which peak observed spectrum analyzer disappears.
Adjustment using spectrum analyzer:
Troubleshooting Guide
What might appear malfunction your unit just result slight misoperation miswiring. Before calling service, first check following table possible problems.
PROBLEM
sound. (Blown fuse.) output level small large). sound quality bad. (The sound distorted.)
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Input output) cables disconnected. Protection circuit activated. Volume high. speaker cord shorted.
SOLUTION
Connect input output) cables. Check connections referring "Protection function". Replace fuse lower volume. After check speaker cord fixing cause short, replace fuse. Adjust control correctly referring "Controls". Connect them properly checking terminals wires well. Connect speaker wire again that pinched anything. switches properly referring "Controls". Turn CONT "ON". Release Control mode Center Unit. Always number Master amplifier "0". After have changed number amplifier, turn POWER switch Center Unit first, then turn again.
input sensitivity adjusting control correct position. speakers wire connected with wrong /-polarity. speaker wire pinched screw body.
sound does change even when have changed with Amplifier Control. value cannot changed Amplifier Control unit. Amplifier Control cannot operated from Center Unit.
switches improperly. CONT been turned "OFF". Control Center Unit being used. incorrect number used Master amplifier. number amplifier been changed.
