MODES OPERATION
Ap890 three operating modes: "Idle Mode": awake ready accept data, data buffer awaiting printing, printer motor running "Printing Mode": data received into buffer printed "Sleep Mode": effectively switched off, awaiting press paper feed button, connection external charger, some data from host exit sleep mode Operational status indicated colour combinations front-panel LED. SLEEP WAKING MODES
Ap890 enters sleep mode automatically after factory-set inactivity timeout period, normally approximately seconds. printer will sleep with charger connected. printer woken pressing paper feed button sending data from host connecting charger unit

ADDRESSABLE GRAPHICS

default serial interface format 9,600 baud, data bits, stop bits, parity. Other formats programmed into Ap890 factory. Serial data expected RS-232C format with -12V meaning 'mark' logical '1', +12V meaning `space' logical '0', with reference common ground. serial data output line, transmits XON/XOFF host same baud rate format serial data input. hardware busy line, Busy, true (nominally -12V) when busy. Both serial output lines will relax approximately when Ap890 sleep mode, user must allow short period after awakening before relying values these signals. Some host equipment constant space condition (+12V) indicate reset condition wait state. REMOVING PAPER CLEARING

GETTING STARTED
