GENERAL SETUP
Microchip PowerInfo interface facilitates communication between battery containing Microchip PS50X PS70X running Microchip's development/test software. information that follows will guide through setup various features available.
Connect serial cable from PowerInfo board RS-232 port Connect power supply plug into electrical outlet. board powered. Attach your battery connector launch Microchip development/ test software

Serial (RS-232) power supply (used with serial connection only) Pluggable terminal block device under test. Looking into connector board, pins from left right are: (VP): Battery pack positive SMBus clock SMBus data T-pin (VN): Battery pack negative External charger load connection

Disconnect PS051 from power Remove microcontroller location Keep this safe place must replaced operate PS051 with another PowerSmart® product, such PS501. Install PS700PIC location PowerInfo board used with PS700 development products.

PS051 with another PowerSmart product, such PS501, PS700PIC must removed microcontroller originally located replaced. Disconnect PS051 from power Remove PS700PIC location Install original microcontroller reconnect power connections.
