Altima AC206 highly integrated 0.25u CMOS silicon solution. combines functions 10/100 dual-speed bridged repeater, including transceivers, reversed 7-wire hard-wire configurable interface, internal repeaters, repeater backplane busses expansion, two-port bridge with embedded memory. AC206 contains five 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet transceivers, which configured into fullduplex uplink port. transceivers perform physical layer interface functions 10BASE-T Ethernet Category unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable 100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet Category cable. MII, reversed 7-wire compatible interface allows AC206 designed into many different applications, reducing number separate devices necessary meet multiple design requirements. AC206 represents marked improvement over previous generation dual-speed bridged repeater family AC108R. Because memory embedded silicon, AC206 offers obvious advantage cost savings discrete memory device. Additionally, 128-pin PQFP package means savings manufacturing testing.
