INTRODUCTION
4040 Front Module combines functions both analog multimedia front digital tuner single unit. Applications therefore provide reception digital signals according ATSC (8-VSB), while retaining NTSC analog capability with single front-end module.

automatic gain control (AGC) input allows external control output signal amplitude. This tuner covers frequency range with channel bandwidth MHz. standard analog reception NTSC M/N. front includes hyperband tuner that covers frequency range part with filter, amplifier, video sound demodulators. audio frequency (AF) composite video broadcast signal (CVBS) signals available audio video output pins, respectively. video buffer built direct connection input. both digital analog applications, reception frequency range divided into low, high UHF. Band selection tuning done completely digital automatic frequency control (AFC) function implemented because voltage generated demodulator integrated converter phase-locked loop (PLL) readable bus. DC/DC converter generation built that only single supply voltage required.
