VCE405 Connectivity Engine provides flexible off-the-shelf method quickly developing deploying cost-conscious high performance custom systems. power consumption powerful, 375+ MIPS, PowerPC 405GP ALMA2 PCI/VME bridge make VCE405 well-suited critical environments such medical aerospace applications.
transfer overhead minimizes pipeline stalls greatly improve performance. general architecture 405GP consists 64-bit, 133MHz Processor Local (PLB) 32-bit, 44MHz On-Chip Peripheral (OPB). High performance peripherals attach less performance-critical peripherals attach OPB.
Flash EPROM
addition, board provides FLASH memory array which composed two, equal-sectored, Intel 28F320J5a-110, Flash EPROM's total 8MB. Each EPROM thirtytwo, 128kB blocks, since EPROM's concatenated form 32-bit data path, paired EPROM block size 256kB. Thales Computers uses lowest addressed blocks test boot software, storing EPROM's programming algorithm. These blocks then locked into array they cannot accidentally erased overwritten.
