ADC002 Successive Approximation Converter
bits resolution ksps Successive approximation architecture Rail-to-rail operation 24mW power Requires external reference voltage (0.5µ) double-poly processes Description
10-bit successive approximation (double-poly) process. input buffer used allow conversion signals within 50mV either power rail. Power consumption with input buffer 4.8mA, without buffer 2.5mA maximum. converter takes clock cycles from "start conversion" "data ready." reference voltage determines input voltage range varied from power rail.

ADC002 Successive Approximation Converter
Datasheet Notes
successive approximation requires clock cycles convert input signal. input sampled during first clock cycles. next clock cycles convert time starting from LSB. output data ready after 12th cycle, rising edge 13th cycle. conversion started driving "start" high rising edge clock. conversion complete rising edge "done." highest voltage that converted reference voltage (which limited upper power supply range). input voltage range 50mV reference voltage. converter used with without input buffer buffer highly recommended high capacitance capacitor array. Approximately half power dissipated input buffer.
