Zoom/FaxModem Model 2919 Zoom's classic internal modem. plugs into unused slot Windows Linux-based desktop computer. Zoom/FaxModem Model 2919's performance further enhanced on-board controller (Digital Signal Processor). Zoom/FaxModem Model 2919 capable receiving data from Internet Service Provider (ISP) online service over standard phone lines speeds Kbps uncompressed. Outgoing data transmitted speeds 33.6 Kbps. Zoom/FaxModem Model 2919 Dualmode; supporting both V.90 Standard K56flex, commonly used pre-standard technology. modem automatically selects V.90, K56flex, 33.6 Kbps slower speed achieve fastest compatible connection speed. Like Zoom Dualmode modems, Zoom Model 2919 includes V.80 capability compatibility with H.324 standard point-to-point video telephony over regular phone lines. also supports Group Class Fax. Additional features include Zoom's Channel 2Call Waiting support which allows selective answering incoming voice calls during browsing. Channel feature works conjunction with Call Waiting service available from most phone companies. functions with ISPs (including AOL) popular browsers. Model 2919 also features ZoomGuard. ZoomGuard provides superior protection against lightning, number cause modem failure. ZoomGuard only better than "varistor" protection found other modems, also outperforms most stand-alone surge protectors.
