DESCRIPTION

These generation DC/DC converters equipped with self synchronous rectification offer very high efficiency, output, allowing operation over complete temperature range without derating. series offers wide input voltage range from 72VDC with telecommunication industrial standard outputs 12V, 3.3V 2.5V, open frame format.

TECHNICAL NOTES
Floating Outputs These converters fully isolated. Designers connect either Vout(+) ground Vout(-) ground without damage. Filtering Noise reduction critical applications, input and/or output noise reduced installing external capacitors. Designers should always electrolytic capacitor tantalum capacitor located close possible converter.

PARALLELING REDUNDANCY

DESIGNED CONSIDERATIONS
Safety safety agency approval system which unit used, converter must installed compliance with spacing separation requirements safety agency standard, i.e. 1950, 22.2.950 60950. converter output considered meeting requirements safety extra voltage (SELV), following must true: outputs SELV floating with input also floating. inputs SELV grounded with output also grounded. SELV input must provided with reinforced insulation from other hazardous voltages including mains must have SELV reliability test performed combination with converters. Inputs must meet SELV requirements. input meets extra voltage (ELV) requirements, then converter's output considered ELV. input these units provided with maximum normal blow fuse Vin(+) lead. Input Output impedance source impedance both power feed load impedance will interact with converter's impedance. ratio between must possible i.e. characteristic impedance both input output. units have been designed completely stable without need external capacitors input output when configured with inductance input output circuits. Performance some applications enhanced addition external capacitance. distribution input voltage source converter contains significant inductance, addition 220-470 capacitor across input converter will help insure stability. capacitor required when powering module from impedance source with short, inductance, input power leads.
