KS8721CL 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 100BASE-FX physical layer transceiver providing MII/ RMII interfaces MACs switches. Using unique mixed-signal design that extends signaling distance while reducing power consumption, KS8721CL represents Micrel's fourth generation single-port Fast Ethernet PHY. Micrel's architecture dissipates ultra-low 275mW power, including transmit output drivers. This translates increased reliability while enabling deployment today's power-sensitive applications. Multiple power-down modes, accessed configuration pins registers, allow further levels power saving through manual selection automatic detection cable energy. KS8721CL automatically configures itself 100Mbps 10Mbps full- half-duplex operation, using onchip auto-negotiation algorithm. Combined with Auto MDI/ MDI-X automatic correction detection crossover straight-through cables, KS8721CL provides easy-to-use, high performance solution 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 100BASE-FX applications.
