ET4001 Single-Chip Gbit/s Layer Ethernet Switch
Description
ET4001 highly integrated fully featured Layer Ethernet bridge with integrated MACs, packet buffers, address tables. When combined with three ET1081 Octal PHYs, ET4000 enables implementation minimal component system that translates cost high reliability. ET4001 contains IEEE compliant 802.3z 10/100/1000 Mbits/s Ethernet MACs. MACs connect external ET1081 Octal PHYs 6-pin LVDS SGMII interfaces. Optionally, four MACs connected external fiber PHYs SerDes interfaces. ET4001 features integrated L2/L3/L4 packet classification engine. result each packet classification used determine packet's quality ser-
vice treatment access control. Access network individual desktops controlled address TCP/IP layer provisioning. Each port supports eight traffic class queues. Each packet assigned class queue based 802.1p coding TOS/DSCP. Incoming traffic policed ensure optimum network resources.
