Description
Linear B2940 B2941 1.25A high accuracy, dropout voltage regulator with only 40mV light loads 350mV(Typ.)@ 1.0A) quiescent current 240µA typical. B2940/41 designed voltage application that requires lower dropout voltage faster transient response. This device excellent choice powering voltage applications where require lower dropout, faster transient response regulate from +2.5V 3.8V supplies post regulator switching supplies applications. B2940/41 offers full protection against over-current faults, reversed input polarity, reversed load insertion, positive negative transient voltage. On-Chip trimming adjusts reference voltage B2940-xx devices fixed voltage regulators. B2941 include Enable packages. B2940/41 offered 5-pin SOT-223, TO-220 TO263 package compatible with other terminal regulators. B2940/41 also offer LPDD (Low Profile TO-263) package from 4.47 (DD) tickness down only 1.27 (LPDD) total tickness.

APPLICATION HINTS
Linear B2941 incorporates protection against over-current faults, reversed load insertion, over temperature operation, positive negative transient voltage. However, output capacitor required order insure stability performances.
Minimum Load Current

Adjustable Regulator Design
