Product Description
SIDACtor components solid state crowbar devices designed protect telecom equipment during hazardous transient conditions. Capitalizing latest thyristor advancements, Teccor makes SIDACtor devices with patented implant technology. This technology ensures effective protection within nanoseconds, 5000 surge current ratings, simple solutions regulatory requirements such 1089, TIA/EIA-IS-968 (formerly known Part 68), ITU-T K.20, ITU-T K.21, 60950.
Operation
standby mode, SIDACtor devices exhibit high off-state impedance, eliminating excessive leakage currents appearing transparent circuits they protect. Upon application voltage exceeding switching voltage (VS), SIDACtor devices crowbar simulate short circuit condition until current flowing through device either interrupted drops below SIDACtor device's holding current (IH). Once this occurs, SIDACtor devices reset return their high off-state impedance.
