Crimp Ferrule System used with Positronic G-Series hoods recommended when maximizing EMI/RFI protection desired. Crimp Ferrule System optimizes transition cable shield into hood three ways. First: provides impedance connection cable shield hood which remains constant over time. Second: system provides EMI/RFI tight cable exit point. Third: system provides high mechanical retention cable hood. Application Crimp Ferrule System quite simple. Once cable insulation shield correct dimensions (#1), crimp ferrule placed over cable crimp flange inserted between shield conductors (#2). crimp ferrule slid over cable insulation into position over crimp flange crimp made using Positronic-supplied Hand Press Sets (#3). This assembly then terminated connector placed into hood (#4).
