MIL-DTL-5015 features threaded couplings single key/keyway polarization, representing maximum simplicity design. MS-R types recommended design applications. Shells: Shell components fabricated from high grade aluminum alloy. components have standard electrically conductive cadmium plated finish with olive drab chromate after-treatment corrosion resistance. 10-305200 cable clamp MS3420A sleeve illustrated used only rear MS-A type connectors. 10-74900 clamp grommet assembly only used special feed-thru applications involving dummy shells, part numbers 10-37090 10-113276.

ASSEMBLY
Both clamps shipped from factory with lubricant conforming MIL-G-3278. Remove dirt foreign material from components with ethyl alcohol relubricate outlined under "lubrication." Place clamping wire bundle cable with threads facing toward connector dummy shell. Position tapered sleeve bundle cable with narrow portion toward clamping (1). Next install either gland used with 10-305200 clamp thread each wire through grommet used with 10-74900 clamp. Dependent application, wire bundle cable through dummy shell, wire ends soldered connector contacts. Move components forward reverse order preliminary assembly. applications where grommets used, seat grommet against undercut back shell before bringing tapered sleeve against it). Insure proper positioning glands grommets (3), tapered sleeves clamping nuts (1). Tighten clamp using strap wrench until metal metal seat obtained.
