KS8001 10BASE-T,100BASE-TX, 100BASEFX Physical Layer Transceiver, which provides MII/RMII/ SMII interfaces MACs switches. Utilizing unique mixed-signal design that extends signaling distance while reducing power consumption, KS8001 represents Micrel's fifth generation single-port Fast Ethernet PHY. Micrel's architecture, when core voltage 1.8V, allows KS8001 dissipate ultra-low 250mW power. This translates increased reliability while enabling deployment today's power-sensitive applications. Multiple power-down modes, accessed configuration pins registers, allow further levels power saving through manual selection automatic detection cable energy.
Description
LinkMDcable diagnostics, industry first singleport Fast Ethernet PHYs, detects common cabling plant problems such open short circuits. Diagnosis elimination cabling faults lead reduced user frustration fewer equipment returns, both enterprise consumer electronics applications.
