Description This ultra low-voltage crystal oscillator circuit using EPAD MOSFETs with active load output buffer operating single 0.5V power supply, which results ultra power consumption. This circuit similar standard crystal oscillator circuit circuits. Active loads used crystal oscillator circuit tend provide wider functional ranges select components. Circuit performance Data: V+=0.5V, 64µA, PD=32µW, Crystal frequency MHz. output voltage level that equal higher than lower than depending desired output voltage swing levels. Rout must selected chosen provide desired voltage swing minimum current drain. example: 0.5V, 60µA, 30µW, VOH=413mV, VOL=171mV. higher crystal frequencies excess MHz, dual EPAD MOSFET connected parallel provide more voltage drive current necessary. output buffer powered using pull resistor ROUT. Rout value optimized give desired output voltage swing levels, provide adequate output drive currents, minimize power consumption.
