Description
cases where basic current source needs more stable over large output voltage range, higher output impedance current source desired. This accomplished putting current sources "cascade" each other shown. channel cascode current source uses channel MOSFETs. current given equation: ISET VGD1 VGD3)/ RSET. IsOURCE equal ISET output voltages exceeding VGD1 VGD3. IsOURCE "sink" current Ground. example given schematic, 1.0V, 5.0V, then IsOURCE equal 3/RSET. P-channel current source works same manner, except that IsOURCE "source" current from instead.
