General Description
AP78L12 three terminal positive regulators available with fixed output voltages making them useful wide range applications. These regulators provide local card regulation, eliminating distribution problems associated with single point regulation. voltages available allow AP78L12 used logic system, instrumentation, HiFi, other solid state electronic equipment. AP78L12 available plastic TO92-3L package, plastic SOP-8L package using industrial standard package technology. With adequate heat sinking regulator deliver 100mA output current. Current limiting included limit peak output current safe value. Safe area protection output transistors provided limit internal power dissipation. internal power dissipation becomes high heat sinking provided, thermal shutdown circuit takes over preventing from overheating.

Function Description
Introduction AP78L12 fixed-mode output voltage regulator three terminal device. AP78L12 fixed voltage regulator series built-in thermal overload protection which prevents device from being damaged excessive junction temperature. regulators also contain internal short-circuit protection which limits maximum output current, safe-area protection pass transistor which reduces short-circuit current voltage across pass transistor increased.
