BCM5757 combines triple-speed, IEEE 802.3 compliant media access controller (MAC), Express interface, on-chip buffer memory, integrated physical layer transceiver single device. BCM5757 fabricated lowvoltage silicon process, providing ultra-low power solution. itself, BCM5757 provides complete single-chip Gigabit Ethernet solution. BCM5757 includes 10/100/1000-Mbps Ethernet with fullduplex half-duplex capability speeds. Support following 802.3 functions featured MAC-VLAN tagging, Layer priority encoding, full-duplex flow control. transceiver fully compatible with IEEE 802.3 standard auto-negotiation speed. Additionally, several Plug-and-Play enhancements included make device even more user-friendly. unique integrated cable analyzer feature allows user self-diagnose issues with network cabling that could affect host machine. link quality indicator application give installers instant visual indication problems. This includes physical wiring defects channel conditions, such excessive cable length, return loss, crosstalk, echo, noise.
