These devices feature very quiescent current 0.8mA less when supplying 50mA loads. This unique characteristic input-output differential required proper regulation (0.2V output currents 100mA) make AMS500 ideal standby power systems. Internal circuitry AMS500 protected from input fault conditions caused input voltages that exceed maximum rated input voltage. During line transients, when input voltage regulator momentarily exceed specified maximum operating voltage, regulator will automatically shut down protect both internal circuits load. AMS500 series also includes internal current limiting, thermal shutdown. AMS500 offered lead TO-92, SOT-89, SOT-223 leads SOT-23 packages.
