Aavid's Ultrastickis unique phase-change thermal interface material that surpasses grease thermal performance long-term stability. This solid, silicone-free, paraffin-based thermal compound changes phase 60°C, with concurrent volumetric expansion that fills gaps between mating surfaces. Ultrastick comes convenient applicator bar, allowing neat, fast application both heat sink component surfaces. cost-effective application leaves thin, film-like deposit, providing excellent heat transfer interface thermal resistance.

Aavid UltrastickPhase-Change Thermal Interface Compound APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Advance compound approximately 3/8" 1/2" beyond dispenser. Hold Ultrastickapplicator with finger slide angle interface surface. Apply gentle pressure (approximately lbs. force) while moving across interface surface. area coated wider than width bar, apply second swipe across uncoated areas. Follow same procedure mating interface surface. Interface surfaces then joined assembly clamped together assembly requirements. compound exhibit some degree voiding. thermal compound will "cold flow" with interface joining pressure. Once assembly experiences thermal cycle through thermal compound will flow fill remaining voids gaps. necessary reapply additional amounts compound attempt totally cover interface surface. Each Ultrastickbar contains sufficient compound approximately 1000 surface coverage, when properly applied. less coverage being achieved production, indicator excessive compound application. with traditional thermal grease, overabundance interface compound counterproductive.
