Function Descriptions
Lockup Protection Automatic Restart APX9268 provides lockup protection automatic restart functions preventing coil burnout locked. This internal counter determine shutdown time (TOFF) restart time (TON). During shutdown time, output drivers keep turning seconds then enter restart time. During restart time, output high other low, which makes torque rotation. restart time second. Thermal Protection locked condition removed, shutdown/ restart process will recurred until locked condition released Fig1. Lockup/Auto Restart Waveform). Output Drivers four drivers bridge output designed single phase full wave motor driver motor. APX9268 thermal protection, when internal junction temperature reaches 175°C, output devices will switched off. When junction temperature cools 25°C, thermal sensor will turn output devices again, resulting pulsed output during continuous thermal protection. linear output architecture used output driver. Frequency Generator Function open collector output, connecting pull resistor high level voltage frequency generator function. When larger than then high (switch off) smaller than then (switch on). Open terminal when using.

Application Information
Input Protection Diode Zener Diode Capacitor should added protection diode (D1) protect damage from power reverse connection. However, protection diode will cause voltage drop supply voltage. current rating diode must larger than maximum output current. Connecting with Zener diode (D2) avoid exceeding absolute maximum rating voltage. noise reduction purpose, there capacitor (C1) (recommended) connecting (see Typical Application Circuit). Hall input output signal this amplified hall input signal, therefore, output signal depends hall input. When hall input small, output signal becomes gentle. Oppositely, input signal large, output becomes steep (see Fig2. Different output signal depending shape hall input signal). input/output gain 48dB(typ.). Thus, please adjust amplitude hall input meet adequate output voltage.
