General Description
APX9261 high efficient direct drive with signal phase CMOS drive. This suitable variable speed control personal computer' power supply radiation cooler. control system works controlling PWM-IN signal' duty. device built-in lock protection, when locked, device will enter lockup protection mode. also with rotation detection output thermal shutdown function. normal supply current less than 2mA. APX9261 available SSOP-16 SOP-10 packages.

Function Description
Variable speed control This used motor rotation speed control external signal. When high signal inputted this pin, will drive motor. when signal inputted this pin, will re-circulation state. efficient rotation speed control performed. Input signal frequency range 50kHz, recommend range 16kHz 50kHz. When signal input, rotation stopped. full speed fixed, please connect this 6VREG floating. Lockup Protection Automatic Restart APX9261 provides lockup protection automatic restart functions preventing coil burnout locked. Connect capacitor from determines shutdown time restart time. locked charge/ discharge circuit charges capacitor 3.6V source current locked detection time then switches capacitor discharge. During this discharge interval output drivers switched until voltage discharged 1.4V 0.3µA sink current then switches capacitor charge. During this charge interval enters restart time, output high another low, have torque rotation until voltage charged source current. locked condition removed, charge/discharge process will recurred until locked condition released. Output Drivers four drivers bridge output designed single coil fans. internally generated dead time prevents crossover currents that occur when switching output devices. Built-in re-circulation diodes make output current flows through Thermal Protection APX9261 thermal protection, when internal junction temperature reaches 170°C, output devices will switched off. internal re-circulation diodes between output devices switched dead time. Rotation Detection Function open collector output, connecting pull resistor high level voltage rotation detection function. When larger than then low(switch smaller than then high(switch off). Open terminal use. open corrector output. level rotation mode High Level stop mode. Open terminal use.

Input Protection Diode should added protection diode protect damage from power reverse connection. However, protection diode will cause voltage drop supply voltage. current rating diode must larger than maximum output current. Hall input 1.3V voltage reference hall element bias. short lines avoid noise. Hall input amplifier 20mV hysteresis. Then recommend hall input revel 60mV over.
