Comments Precautions
Ensure that SMM665 device securely seated 48-pin TQFP Spring-Loaded Socket correctly oriented indicated block dot/void part marking orientation. Occasionally, socket lose contact from oxidation. With power turned-off, reseat device pressing down releasing socket. SMM665 precision integrated circuit requiring certain attention spent with regards component selection printed circuit board layout ensure greatest possible performance. Since SMM665 does measure each voltage differentially, special attention must paid where part's connected. measurements best made load power supplies, should also connected power supply return load. Accurate measurements supplies possible laying such that large copper trace from each individual supply voltage return load) routed separately directly SMM665 joined together there `star ground'). large trace ensures that currents flowing between supply returns does result voltage drop occurring between point load single point connection made SMM665 pin. Choose low-leakage ceramic film capacitors TRIMx pins sample-and-hold function, making sure these components located close SMM665 possible. Although internal voltage reference available, higher accuracies possible using external 0.1% reference. Locate this device nearby SMM665 keep ground connection from reference SMM665. TRIM_CAP physical location important that forms low-pass filter with TRIM_CAP filter DC-DC converter switching noise. ceramic capacitor sufficient this purpose.
