Preliminary
8B10B Encoder/Decoder MegaCore Function
Design Impact
encoding latency changed from three clock cycles registered ports, documented user guide, clock cycle non-registered ports.
Workaround
maintain encoding latency documented 8B10B Encoder/Decoder MegaCore Function User Guide, delay output ports: kerr, dataout[9:0], valid clock cycles sending data through flipflops driven encoder clock signal (clk).
Solution Status
This issue will fixed next release 8B10B Encoder/Decoder MegaCore function. parameter allowing choose between registered non-registered ports will added Toolbench, 8B10B Encoder/Decoder MegaCore Function User Guide will updated reflect changes.
Toolbench Fails When Using X-Win32
Clicking Parameterize button Toolbench does open parameterization window. Additionally, buttons visible Toolbench toolbar window.
Affected Configurations
This issue affects version 1.6.0 prior versions MegaCore function that version Quartus® software Linux environment accessed from Microsoft Windows using X-Win32 terminal application.
Design Impact
MegaCore function cannot parameterized. Simulation Generate buttons operate correctly.
Workaround
Toolbench with Exceed server application from Hummingbird Ltd., Toolbench with Microsoft Windows.
