EVALUATION PROCEDURE
Measuring with SY55854U This section describes obtain diagram using SY55854U evaluation board. will need: SY55854U evaluation board power supply digital signal source capable generating pseudorandom patterns 2.5Gbps oscilloscope capable showing patterns pairs length-matched cables Four termination following steps allow user generate diagram using SY55854U evaluation board. Connect Power Source: power supply must about 3.3V. Current consumption will under 100mA. Connect positive power supply bottom power supply header, marked "VCC," having ground symbol. Connect negative power supply power supply header. Connect Data Source: your data source generate pseudo-random data stream. pattern 27-1 PRBS better will there choice, 223-1 PRBS. data rate 2.5Gbps. output high level +0V, output level -400mV. Using pair length matched cables, connect differential output signal generator "D0" "/D0" connectors. Connect Data Output: Using another pair length matched cables, connect "Q0," "/Q0" connectors oscilloscope. Connect trigger output from digital generator trigger input oscilloscope. Terminate Unused Inputs Outputs: "D1," "/D1," "Q1," "/Q1" connectors with terminators. Configure SY55854U Evaluation Board: Ensure that "S0, "and "/S0," connectors open. further information regarding select various inputs, please refer Table View Eye: Adjust oscilloscope show diagram.
