Requirements
evaluation board requires input power source. source must able supply least 8.5A maximum power from output. output loaded with resistive active load. active load constant current constant resistance mode.
Precautions
evaluation board does have input reverse polarity protection. Applying negative voltage terminal (with respect ground) permanently damage components board. maximum input voltage limited MIC2185 maximum voltage rating. Exceeding this voltage damage exceed output. VINP MIC2185 connected output voltage. Exceeding damage part.
maximum demo board output current depends input output voltage. These limitations demo board circuit MIC2185 controller. Table lists maximum output current several common boost configurations.

Getting Started
Connect input voltage source terminal terminal ammeter placed between source terminal monitor input current. Input Undervoltage Lockout
Resistors input undervoltage lockout feature. When (EN/UVLO) pulled VIN, MIC2185 typically turns input voltage 2.9V. turn-on voltage increased using R5/R6 voltage divider. formula calculate turn-on voltage
Jumper Settable Options
There jumpers board that used select various options output voltage. Three standard voltages selected placing shorting jumper across proper pins header JP1, illustrated output voltage jumper selection (Table 2.). Open resistor location allows user program output voltage from 14V. desired output voltage resistor value calculated following equation.
