GENERAL INFORMATION

Rated Medium Voltage FuseCurrent Limiting
Rated fuses have time current characteristics designed provide current limiting protection power transformers, potential transformers, power centers, feeder centers, unit stations. When properly applied, they protect against high value fault currents. NEMA Standards rated medium voltage fuses require that fuses rated 100E less open within seconds minutes) when subjected value 200-240% fuse's continuous current rating; fuses with rating larger than 100E must open within seconds minutes) when subjected current 220-240% fuse's continuous current rating. These values establish point time-current curve.
