These units overcome limitations both electromechanical reed relays offering solid-state advantages high sensitivity, miniaturization, contact bounce, long operational life, insensitivity external magnetic fields, shock vibration, high reliability inherent with solid state technology. They ideally suited switching high currents level signals without distortion injection electrical noise. These relays packaged 8-pin, molded packages available with thru-hole (gull-wing) leads, plastic shipping tubes.
