Description
LM393 consists independent precision voltage comparators with offset voltage specification comparators which were designed specifically operate from single power supply over wide range voltages. Operation from split power supplies also possible power supply current drain independent magnitude power supply voltage. These comparators also have unique characteristic that input commonmode voltage range includes ground, even though operated from single power supply voltage. Application areas include limit comparators, simple analog digital converters; pulse, squarewave time delay generators; wide range VCO; clock timers; multivibrators high voltage digital logic gates. LM393 designed directly interface with CMOS. When operated from both plus minus power supplies, LM393 will directly interface with logic where their power drain distinct advantage over standard comparators.
