FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION DEFLECTION Synchronization Separator synchronization separator based bottom synchronization pulses alignment internal reference voltage. external capacitor permits align synchro. pulses, external resistors determines detection threshold synchro pulses. frame synchronization pulses locked 32µs reference signal perfect interlacing. Horizontal Scanning horizontalscanning frequencyis obtained from 500kHz VCO. circuit uses phase-locked loops (PLL). first controls frequency; second one, fully integrated, controls relative phase synchronization line flyback signals. first times constants long time constant during picture have good noise immunity, short time constant beginning frame recapture faster phase case video signal. More over, short time constant three lines before frame pulses occured, permits ensure good interlacing when video signal comes from tape with high phase error. horizontal output signal 28µs width. starting horizontal pulses enabled 6.8V. shutting down, horizontal pulses inhibited 6.2V. Vertical Scanning windows frame sync detection generated count down system. selection windows determined status video identification window 248/314 video identification window 248/352 When sync pulse detected inside window 10.5 lines long pulse provided VOUT pin. count down system provides also needed signals time constant switch, line inhibition service signals rest CHROMA Amplifier, Matrix, Permutator Demodulator correct chroma subcarrier input, issued from bandpass bell filter, internally selected with standard. amplifier envolves three stages first select correct input, second -6dB picture (PAL mode), third controled voltage. dynamic range over than 30dB. chrominance output signal delay line. mode adding substracting direct delayed signals performed matrix function. synchronous demodulators multiplies (B-Y) signal with degree phase 4.43MHz reference signal (R-Y) signal with alternate deg. 4.43MHz phase reference signal. SECAM mode permutator separates (B-Y) (R-Y) subcarriers. These signals demodulated demodulators with external centered fO(blue) 4.25MHz fO(red) 4.406MHz. 4.43MHz Phase Locked Loop oscillating frequency 4.43MHz crystal oscillator controlled output voltage loop filter. phase detector will lock degree reference signal direct burst signal. degree phase shifter permits recover degree reference signal. flip-flop driven line pulses permits generate alternate degree signal. Control Color Killer mode direct burst signal demodulated with degree reference signal. demodulation result used control killer function. SECAM mode control done demodulator. identification burst signals blue lines demodulated external connected centered 4.32MHz. This give positive negative signals which inverted signal coming SECAM flip-flop. both standard, demodulation result always positive, killer capacitor charged standard identified (color ON). When demodulation result always negative, killer capacitor voltage reaches flip-flop inhibition level, alternace sequence reversed capacitor charged again. case video signal, both killer capacitors voltage maintained about VCC/2, below color threshold. SECAM, control voltage obtained peak detection demodulated burst.

color signals sent switch which will drive outputs either internal signals external signals. Automatic Cut-off Control black levels outputs controlled with cut-off loops during three line periods after frame retrace. cut-off measurements sequentiallyachieved during these three lines. leakage current measurement achieved during frame retrace memorized internal capacitor, thus circuit able extract cut-off current from total current measurement. Warm-up Detector start-up, cut-off loops switch off, white level inserted luminance signal until cathode current detected. Then cut-off loops released. Inputs avoid black level inserted signal differing from black level normal video signal, external clamped black level luminance signal. Therefore, coupling required inputs. inputs controlled 12dB range contrast control stage.
