APPLICATION N0TES
These surface mountable packages designed specifically transient voltage suppression. wide leads assure large surface contact good heat dissipation, resistance path surge current flow ground. These high speed transient voltage suppressors used effectively protect sensitive components such integrated circuits devices. 1500W (SMC) device normally selected when threat transients from lightning-induced transients conducted external leads lines. also used protect against switching transients induced large coils industrial motors. System impedance component level system usually high enough limit current within peak pulse current (IPP) rating this series.
RECOMMENDED SIZES
dimensions should 0.010" (0.25mm) longer than contact size, lead axis. This allows solder fillet form, figure below. Contact factory soldering methods.
