Functional Description
HT9032 designed physical layer demodulator products targeted caller market. data signaling interface should conform Bell 202, which described follows:
Analog, phase coherent, frequency shift keying Logical (Mark)=1200+/-12Hz Logical (Space)=2200+/-22Hz Transmission rate=1200bps Data application=serial, binary, Logical (Space)=2100Hz Transmission rate=1200bps
Since band pass filter HT9032 pass V.23 signal, hence HT9032 also demodulate V.23 signal. Ring detection data will transmitted silent period between first second power ring before voice path established. HT9032 should first detect valid ring then perform demodulation. typical ring detection circuit HT9032 depicted below. power ring signal first rectified through bridge circuit then sent resistor network that attenuates incoming power ring. values resistors capacitor given figure have been chosen provide sufficient voltage RDET1 turn Schmitt Trigger input with approximately Vrms greater power ring input from ring. Operation mode There three operation modes HT9032. They power down mode, partial power mode, power mode. three modes classified following conditions: Modes Power down Partial power Power Conditions <1mA 1.9mA typically 3.2mA typically 1.9mA typically. Once PDWN below VT-, part will fully powered ready receive FSK. During this mode, device current will increase approximately 3.2mA (typ). state RTIME part concerned.
