DESCRIPTION
OPA350 series rail-to-rail CMOS operational amplifiers optimized voltage, single-supply operation. Rail-to-rail input/output, noise (5nV/Hz), high speed operation (38MHz, 22V/µs) make them ideal driving sampling analog-to-digital converters. They also well suited cell phone control loops video processing drive capability) well audio general purpose applications. Single, dual, quad versions have identical specifications maximum design flexibility. OPA350 series operates single supply 2.5V with input common-mode voltage range that extends 300mV below ground 300mV above positive supply. Output voltage swing within 10mV supply rails with load. APPLICATIONS INFORMATION
OPA350 series amps fabricated state-of-the-art micron CMOS process. They unity-gain stable suitable wide range general purpose applications. Rail-to-rail input/output make them ideal driving sampling converters. They also well suited controlling output power cell phones. These applications often require high speed noise. addition, OPA350 series offers cost solution general purpose consumer video applications drive capability). Excellent performance makes OPA350 series well suited audio applications. Power supply pins should bypassed with 0.01µF ceramic capacitors. OPERATING VOLTAGE OPA350 series amps fully specified from +2.7V +5.5V. However, supply voltage range from +2.5V +5.5V. RAIL-TO-RAIL INPUT guaranteed input common-mode voltage range OPA350 series extends 100mV beyond supply rails. This achieved with complementary input stage-an N-channel input differential pair parallel with P-channel differential pair (see Figure N-channel pair active input voltages close positive rail, typically (V+) 1.8V 100mV above positive supply, while P-channel pair inputs from 100mV below negative supply approximately (V+) 1.8V. OPA350 series amps laser-trimmed reduce offset voltage difference between N-channel P-channel input stages, resulting improved commonmode rejection smooth transition between N-channel pair P-channel pair. However, within 400mV transition region PSRR, CMRR, offset voltage, offset drift, degraded compared operation outside this region. double-folded cascode adds signal from input pairs presents differential signal class output stage. Normally, input bias current approximately 500fA. However, large inputs (greater than 300mV beyond supply rails) turn OPA350's input protection diodes, causing excessive current flow input pins. Momentary voltages greater than 300mV beyond power supply tolerated current input pins limited 10mA. This easily accomplished with input resistor shown Figure Many input signals inherently current-limited less than 10mA, therefore, limiting resistor required.
