111-Bit 2/3-Duty Controller/Driver with Digital Dimming Function
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
MSC1230 Bi-CMOS display driver with digital dimming function. enables switching between 1/3-duty vacuum fluorescent (VF) display tube universal display tube control. MSC1230 consists 112-bit shift register, 111-bit latch, 10-bit digital dimming circuit, segment drivers, grid drivers. MSC1230 provides interface with microcomputer only three signal lines: DATA-IN, CLOCK. using chip select function, DATA-IN CLOCK signal lines shared other peripheral circuits.

Power supply voltage VDD=8 (built-in regulator logic circuit) Operating temperature range Ta=-40 37-segment driver outputs IOH=-6 -0.8 3-grid driver outputs IOH=-30 -0.8 Built-in digital dimming circuit (10-bit resolution) Switchable between 1/3-duty display tube universal display tube* When left open Selects universal display tube (The grids GRID1, GRID2, GRID1+GRID2 turned repeatedly this order) When used Selects 1/3-duty display tube (The grids GRID1, GRID2, GRID3 turned repeatedly this order) Built-in oscillation circuit (external Built-in Power-On-Reset circuit Package: 56-pin plastic (QFP56-P-910-0.65-2K)(Product name: MSC1230GS-2K) universal display tube display tube which, like gate array, user freely design characters patterns master layer (grid). DESCRIPTION
